For those of you who think all blood products are red...ding dong, you're wrong. Here is the bag of platelets that's currently dripping into Dad...yellow, no less. So far no reactions which is good. Platelets don't need an exact blood type match, but it's his exact blood type anyway. Ok, Tom, Leo says this is for you. There was a song back in the grumblegrumble50's called "Transfusion"...do you remember it? It was totally crazy. Here are a few lines from this song...by the way...sung by Nervous Norvus and included lyrics such as "slip the blood to me, Bud", "shoot the juice to me, Bruce", "pass the crimson to me Jimson" . ReplyDeleteDing dong I was wrong cause I thought it was all red. I also like it better on the inside...yuck! I guess that explains why nursing was never an option for me. Thanks for the pictures, especially Leo, it helps me to see where my positive energy is being sent. Keep up the good work. I love you!
