A lot of you know this already, but for those of you who don't, I've started up a side blog for a project I call "The Dude Abides Project."Back in my first century bike ride in Maryland in 2009, I had some temporary tattoos created that featured dad with his freshly shaved head and sunglasses with the words "The Dude Abides" above it. This phrase, in case you don't know, comes from one of my family's favorite movies, "The Big Lebowski" starring Jeff Bridges. It's shocking if we get through a holiday without at least 100 references to this movie.
Anyway, I'm basically getting people to print out the logo and take pictures with it around where they live. So if you want to participate email me at saratzki@gmail.com and I will send you what you need!

ReplyDeleteSara, this is totally awesome! Dad and I can't believe you got this signed by Jeff Bridges! And I can't believe that Jeff Bridges took the time to do this!! I will post more of this on the Dude Abides blog.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, a rug would really tie the room together...but 3 things wouldn't work:
1. Dad's dancing partner (the iv pole) might flip over
2. Nurse Ratchet says that wouldn't be safe for Dad to shuffle along and trip over the rug
3. Well, you just always have to look out for carpet pissers! (if you don't get this, watch the movie...in fact if you have never seen the movie, do yourself a favor and watch it....it is more than a classic!).
