Friday
It was a very short night. Dad slept really well for the time that he slept. He felt good this morning and had breakfast and off we went at 8:00 to the oncologist's. He just got a drip of decadron this morning and it was just a half hour deal...so that was a breeze compared with yesterday and the day before. Dad thought he might be able to go to work this afternoon, but he's just way too tired so he's heading down for a sleep now. Hopefully we both can get caught up in sleep this weekend. The only commitment is to head to the hospital tomorrow morning for him to get another dose of the decadron. This time he goes to the infusion lab and not a hospital room so that in and of itself should speed things up. In fact, at the hospital we don't even need to go through admissions...just up to the infusion floor.

Glad to hear that you guys are in good spirits despite the lack of sleep. It's more than I can say about myself when I don't get much sleep. Joy can attest to my crankiness. Anyways, glad that Dad is getting some beauty rest. Mom, make sure and get some sleep when you get home from PT.

ReplyDeleteI must apologize for not commenting before. My computer has had serious issues and for some reason when I checked your blog The last entry I saw was last week. Suddenly today I find all this stuff!!
ReplyDeleteWe are still praying for both of you. This has been a long road but just think, your getting closer to the end every day.
I sounds like the new batch of miracle poison has a little kick to it. That's both good and bad. I feel so bad that we can't come see you just to sit and chat or something. I wouldn't dare though because we've been exposed to grandkids with terrible stomach flu passing around for 3 weeks now.
Hang on to your shorts once all those roids kick in!

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear things are going okay. Hope you both did catch up on sleep this weekend. Rita sends her good wishes. I was in Omaha Saturday to start cleaning her house, visit her, and then haul her over to Monica's for supper. I'll try to check in here more often.
