Dad slept good last night, had a good breakfast, and is currently hooked up to one of 2 chemical drips today. His blood pressure is good and all is well other than he has had 2 cases of the hiccups...apparently caused by one of the chemicals or the steroid that he received. So other than a few odd stares by other patients ...due to his noisy hiccups, it's been fairly uneventful. Dad has been working all morning here since he didn't need the benadryl today and I have had to wait my turn to type this post! I'll make it short so he can get back to work!
Thanks to all who commented yesterday...he really enjoyed that!
We should be out of here by noon today.

Hi Leo....you are working, aren't you? Stop the hicupping or all there are going to think you've been drinking.....
ReplyDeleteLeo says "All is going smooth now...hiccups are gone. I'm trying to do most of my work on email since phone work might become hiccup interrupted."
ReplyDeleteGo Leo! Love the new 'do, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI keep imagining the drug commercial for what he's on: "side effects include hair loss, nausea, roid rage and violent hiccups. Men who sound alien with hiccups should consult their doctor before visiting public places. Talk to your doctor to find out if _____ is right for you."
glad the hiccups are gone. now focus on the important stuff: culver's.
ReplyDeleteActually, we're going to pick up some delicious soup from Grateful Bread and take it home to eat (avoid the crowds). We only have about 15 more minutes of being here.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly...the man 2 chairs down had the hiccups and said he had hiccups all night long, too. The nurse said it happens to some people and thinks its the ifex chemical that may cause that.
How was the soup? Which ones did they have yesterday? mmmmmmmmm Did you say hi to my bestest friend Cheyenne.... or perhaps offer him a scotch on my behalf???
ReplyDeleteHis name is Cheyenne???????
ReplyDeleteWhat do you expect, Darcy, with parents in the 70's who were true to their nature! They have signs in their restaurant extolling the virtues of hemp, etc...true, true hippies who never changed a bit!
ReplyDeleteJoy...to answer your question...of course, Moroccan Tomato, Cuban Black Bean, Santa Fe chowder, Mexican Lentil, Potato and Spinach...all excellent....oh...and also baby portobello mushroom macaroni and cheese...doesn't get any better on a cold day!
ReplyDeleteCheyenne had some wild music playing, too...extra wild, that is!
