Yes, it is. I was just going to post something about that and then I saw Sara's post. No kidding...I wish we would have measured Dad before. My guess is that he's about 6 or so inches less around the belly. Keep in mind the size of the tumor...alias "Jabba the Hut, or Jabba the Gut, or familiarly: Jabba" (as named by Dad). It encompassed his entire abdomen and the doctor took a guess at it weighing around 2 pounds or so. Now factor in the fact that the first treatment was the most aggressive as far as eliminating the existing cancer cells. That first treatment took care of around 95% to 99% of the tumor...that is it broke them down and eliminated them. That's why there was so much concern with that...those kidneys had to work overtime and then some to process and slough off all of those cells. We had no idea that the visible effect would be so amazing though! Before the treatment his gut was large and very hard (he told the nurses that he thought he had abs of steel, but found out that was wrong!) and by Sunday it had started to get softer and by yesterday it was very soft and much, much smaller. And yes, Sara, I think a few new shirts this weekend would be in order!
